Michael A. Farr
Michael A. Farr joined Reed & Davidson, LLP in 2018. Michael advises corporations, trade associations, political action committees (including ballot measure and independent expenditure committees) and candidates on campaign finance laws at the federal, state and local level. Michael is also experienced in advising clients on lobbying laws across the country, particularly in California. In addition, Michael assists nonprofit organizations with corporate formation, tax returns, governance, and tax issues related to engaging in the political arena.
Previously, Michael served as a legal intern for Amazon’s government affairs team in Washington, DC, focusing on federal, state, and local regulatory policy issues and government compliance. In addition, Michael held internships at a nonprofit organization focusing on administrative law and with the U.S. House of Representatives, Committee on Foreign Affairs.
During law school, Michael was an associate member of the Federal Communications Law Journal, in which his paper on the Administrative Procedure Act and telecommunications law was published. In addition, Michael served as president of the Jewish Law Student Association for two terms and an inaugural member of the Student Affinity Group Enterprise, part of the Dean’s Diversity and Inclusion Initiative.
Michael is a member of the California Political Attorneys Association and Los Angeles County Bar Association.
Michael received a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (summa cum laude, 2014) and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School (2018).
Michael is admitted to practice in California and the District of Columbia.
